Capital raising: an honest starting point for Kerala businesses
We are not a merchant banker, and we will not pretend to be one. What we can do is help you work out whether raising capital is the right move, get your house in order first, and introduce you to people who are registered to do the rest.
What we actually do
- Sit down with you and work through whether external capital is the right answer, or whether the problem is working capital, pricing or cost structure
- Help you understand the practical differences between debt, private placement, a rights issue to existing shareholders, and a public listing — in plain terms, with realistic costs and timelines
- Point out what a registered adviser will ask for before they take you on: audited accounts, clean statutory records, a defensible growth story
- Introduce you to a SEBI-registered merchant banker, and stay in the room as your local point of contact through the process
- Corporate treasury support once the money is raised, so it is not sitting idle in a current account → Corporate treasury
What we do not do
We do not manage public issues, SME IPOs, rights issues, private placements or preference and warrant issues. We do not carry out due diligence or valuation for a transaction, we do not file with SEBI or the exchanges on your behalf, and we do not act as your merchant banker.
All merchant banking activity, including issue management, is carried out by our SEBI-registered Merchant Banker associates. HAWMS Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. acts as an introducer and provides business advisory support only.

How an introduction works
- An initial conversation, at no cost, about what you are trying to fund and why.
- An honest read on readiness — most companies that ask about an IPO are two to three years away from one, and it is more useful to hear that early.
- If it makes sense, an introduction to our associates and a joint meeting.
- They scope, price and contract the mandate directly with you. We are not a party to it.
- We stay available locally through the process, and pick up treasury support afterwards.
Fees and conflicts
You pay us nothing for an introduction. Where we receive a referral fee from a registered intermediary in connection with a mandate, we will disclose it to you in writing before you engage them. Our How We Are Paid page sets out our position across every service.
